Ivano is descended from a family who have been passionate about Italy and its food. His father Matteo came to London in 1959 from a small village on the Amalfi Coast called Scala. After a few years of working in London's Italian restaurants he opened La Bellavista in Kensington in 1967 with huge success. Matteo's passion for serving authentic Italian food with a smile now comes from his son Ivano at La Gastronomia.
